The PRO-FIT line includes three different hydrotherapy systems: bathtub, whirlpool bath and air massage bath.    The new 3666 OV and 3672 OV give builders two more choices for oval drop-in tubs. Each tub includes two back jets, end drain and the option of drop-in or undermount installation.

Three new Tile Flange Skirt (TFS) tubs provide more options for alcove installation. The new 3060TFS NCA and 3260TFS NCA have an internal depth of 17 inches and have no contoured armrests, for a minimalist look. The two tubs include end drains, integral tile flange/apron and optional removable access panels. Finally, the 4272TFS features two flat front panels for simple access to the pump/motor along with integral tile flange/apron and armrests.

“These additions to our popular series of PRO-FIT products give builders more choices than ever before on selecting tubs for their projects,” says Haley Davis, product manager for Mansfield Plumbing. “Our Made-in-America high-gloss cast acrylic bathware is crafted from the finest long-strand fibers available. The fibers are combined with high-quality resins that are hand-rolled for superior strength and durability.”

New draining options for PRO-FIT tubs include a Tip Toe Drain that provides fast and easy draining by simply tapping the drain with your toe to open or close the drain. Or, an effortless twist operation is available with a Cable-Operated Drain. Both are available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Everbrass or Oil Rubbed Bronze. Finally, superior flush mount air injectors are now being used on PRO-FIT Air Massage Bath models, with air forced through the air injectors which are installed on the back wall of the tub. Each air injector has a check valve that prevents water from flowing back into the air line.

At Mansfield Plumbing, we continue to concentrate on recycling efforts. Our 24/7 operation means that we do indeed have items to recycle. From the soda cans that employees use daily to our old plaster molds, we recycle millions of pounds of materials each year. In 2016 alone we recycled millions of pounds of fired scrap and spent plaster molds, plus thousands of pounds of cardboard and cartons, paper, plastic and wooden pallets.

We pay just as much attention to recycling a plastic water bottle as we do to paper in our offices to our fired scrap materials. Everything gets a new life through our recycling efforts. Our mindset makes it a routine procedure for team members to recycle.

We encourage you to do your part for the environment. Whether it’s turning off lights when you’re not in a room or recycle used newspapers, every step is important.

How important is Made in America to consumers? Extremely.

Gary Pember, Vice President of Marketing at Mansfield Plumbing relates that Made in America is a trend influencing industry sales. “Whether because it’s an election year or people are tired of waiting for products shipped from overseas, there’s a strong request right now for Made in America sanitaryware products,” says Pember. “Certainly we know products made in the USA mean more employment of Americans, faster delivery times and provide a smaller carbon footprint compared to imported products. However, the current push right now also appears more ‘patriotic’ than in previous years.”

Recent research shows that almost eight out of 10 American consumers show preference to purchasing an American-made product than an imported one.* In the same survey, more than 60 percent of those interviewed said they would also be willing to pay 10 percent or more for American-made products. This supports the 2012 findings of the Boston Consulting Group that shows more than 80 percent of consumers in the United States said they would be willing to pay a higher price for American-made goods than for those products made in China.**

Operations at Mansfield Plumbing have accelerated to meet the growth of current orders and anticipated product demand for 2017. The company hired a record number of people in 2016 and now employs almost 700 American workers.

“Even though we’re incorporating more robotics into our operations, we continue to hire people on an ongoing basis,” says Pember. “The increased automation makes it better and easier for people to work in the plants by having machines do some of the heavy lifting. Robotics help increase efficiencies in our plants along with allowing us to quickly and resourcefully manufacture products.

            “These advances are important because we’re preparing for 2017 — a year when we plan to grow our product offerings with toilets that meet all the trends of cleanability, performance and environmental that are desired by consumers.”
